About Imandra lake in Russian

Imandra - lake. The lagest lake of Kola Peninsula situated in central part of Murmansk region. The lake is 109 kilometres long and 19 width, maximal deep is 67 metres. A surface of Imandra lake is 812 square kilometres. 144 islands. Flows to Kandalaksha Bay via Niva river. Imandra lake consist of Big Imandra (northen part), Ekostrovskaya imandra (south-east part) and Babinskaya Imandra (south-west part). The border between Ekostrovskaya and Babinskaya Imandra is the Rovatostrov island. First Imandra lake was mentioned in "pistsovye knigi" (land inventory books) in 1608-1611 as a fishing lake of babinskie, ekostrovskie and maselgskie saami.
